LINK — Three Words, One Answer

Android package com.euphorolink.link

Last updated 16 August 2026

The short version. LINK has no sign-up, no password and no email address on file. Your detailed game progress stays in app-private storage on your device. From version 1.1.0, opening the Weekly board publishes the display name you chose and your weekly Daily Challenge score, and nothing else — you can remove both at any time. LINK uses Google AdMob to provide ads and consent controls, Firebase Analytics to understand basic app usage, and Firebase Hosting to check for new levels. We do not send clue text, answers, typed letters or free-form content to Analytics.

Information you provide

LINK does not ask you to register, sign in, or provide your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos or payment details.

From version 1.1.0, LINK shows a display name on its weekly leaderboard. The game generates one for you, so you are never asked to type anything, and you can change it in Settings → Your name. Please do not use your real name or any other personal detail: whatever you choose is visible to other players. Names are checked automatically against a list of offensive terms, and players can report a name from the board itself.

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include in your message. We use that information only to respond, investigate the issue and meet any applicable legal obligations.

Information stored on your device

LINK stores its detailed save data in app-private storage so the game can remember your progress. This includes:

  • Levels completed, stars earned, best times and current progress
  • Your hint balance and rewarded-ad claim records
  • Words you have solved for the in-game Word Bank
  • Daily Challenge results and your current streak
  • Achievements and gameplay statistics
  • Volume, haptics, timer and other game settings
  • Downloaded puzzle packs and content-version information

This detailed save file is not uploaded to Rafii Builds or used to create an online profile. The separate, limited analytics events described below may report general gameplay activity, and from version 1.1.0 the weekly leaderboard publishes two values drawn from this save — your display name and your weekly Daily Challenge score — but only after you open the board. The save file itself is never uploaded.

You can clear your game progress from Settings → Reset progress. Uninstalling LINK removes its local app data. Depending on your Android and Google backup settings, Android may separately back up and restore some app data as part of your device backup.

Weekly leaderboard (from version 1.1.0)

LINK has a weekly leaderboard that ranks Daily Challenge scores. It is the only part of the game that publishes anything about you, and it does nothing at all until you open it.

Nothing is sent unless you open the Weekly board. Playing the Daily Challenge scores it on your device only. The first time you open the board, LINK signs in to Google Firebase Authentication anonymously — creating an identifier for that installation, with no username, password, email address or recovery — and stores the following in Google Cloud Firestore:

  • the anonymous identifier for your installation
  • your display name
  • your total Daily Challenge score for the current week, the time it took, and which days it came from

Your display name and score are shown to other players on the board. The anonymous identifier is not displayed; it exists so the game can recognise which row is yours and so you can remove your own entry. It cannot be used to sign in anywhere, is not shared with advertisers, is not connected to your Android advertising ID or Analytics data, and does not move to another device.

If you report another player’s name, LINK records that name, the reported player’s identifier, yours and the week, so the report can be reviewed and acted on.

You can remove all of it at any time from Settings → Leaderboard → Remove me, which deletes your entries, your stored name and the anonymous identifier itself. Full instructions, including what to do after uninstalling, are on the account and data deletion page.

Advertising and consent

LINK uses Google AdMob to provide optional rewarded ads and occasional interstitial ads between completed levels. Ads are not shown in the middle of a puzzle.

According to Google, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share:

  • Your IP address, which may be used to estimate your approximate location
  • Product and ad interactions, such as app launches, taps and video views
  • Diagnostic information about the app and advertising SDK
  • Device identifiers, including the Android advertising ID and app set ID when available

Google uses this information for advertising, ad measurement, analytics, security and fraud prevention. Depending on your region, consent choices and device settings, Google may provide personalized, non-personalized, limited or technical ads.

Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform presents a consent form before ads are requested. A Privacy choices control is also available in LINK’s Settings when Google reports that a persistent privacy-options entry point is required.

You can also reset or delete your advertising ID through your Android device’s privacy and advertising settings.

For more information, see Google’s Mobile Ads data disclosure and Privacy Policy.

Firebase Analytics

LINK uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand whether the game works correctly and which parts of the experience need improvement. Firebase may automatically collect app-instance identifiers and basic app, device, session and usage information.

LINK also sends a fixed set of gameplay events, including level starts, completions and abandons; mode and level identifiers; completion time, stars, accuracy and hints used; Daily Challenge activity; and rewarded or interstitial ad outcomes.

LINK does not send clue words, correct answers, letters you type, screenshots, messages or other free-form content to Firebase Analytics. We do not set an Analytics user ID, and LINK does not use Firebase Crashlytics.

Firebase Analytics data is used for app measurement, troubleshooting and product improvement. LINK disables Analytics ad-personalization signals in its Android configuration.

Level downloads and network connections

LINK periodically checks a content service hosted on Google Firebase Hosting for new puzzle packs. The request does not include your save file, answers, hint balance or gameplay history.

As with a normal request to a website, Google may receive technical request information such as your IP address, device software, request time and the requested file. Google handles this information as the hosting provider.

The game remains playable with its bundled and previously downloaded levels when the device is offline. Ads, analytics delivery and content updates may be unavailable until a connection returns.

Permissions

LINK and its included Google SDKs use Android permissions for internet access, network status, haptic feedback, advertising identifiers and Android advertising services.

LINK does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files, precise GPS location, call history or SMS messages.

Sharing

Information described above may be processed by Google as the provider of AdMob, the User Messaging Platform, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Hosting and — from version 1.1.0 — Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Google may process information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to its privacy policy and applicable transfer safeguards.

Your display name and weekly score are shown to other players of LINK on the leaderboard. That is the only information LINK makes visible to anyone else, and it is published only after you open the board.

We do not receive or sell a personal profile containing your real name, email address or game history. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer where permitted by law.

LINK can generate an image of a result or puzzle and hand it to your device’s share sheet. The image is sent only if you select a destination. Result images are designed not to reveal puzzle answers. The selected destination’s own privacy policy then applies.

Retention and deletion

Local progress remains on your device until you reset it, clear LINK’s app data or uninstall the app. Downloaded puzzle packs may remain cached until they are replaced, cleared or the app is uninstalled.

From version 1.1.0, leaderboard entries are kept for as long as you take part. Deleting them is immediate and permanent: use Settings → Leaderboard → Remove me, which removes your entries, your stored display name and the anonymous identifier, with no recovery period. Uninstalling the app discards the identifier on your device, but does not by itself delete an entry already published — if you have uninstalled, use the deletion page to ask us to remove it.

We do not maintain a separate copy of raw AdMob data. Google retains advertising and diagnostic information according to its own retention policies.

Event-level Google Analytics data is retained according to the Analytics property’s configured retention period, which is no longer than 14 months for a standard property. Aggregated reports may remain available for longer. Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records and meet legal obligations.

Children and teenagers

LINK is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Ad creative is restricted to Google’s Teen content rating or below.

If you are below the age at which you may make privacy choices in your country, ask a parent or guardian to review those choices with you. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through a support message or otherwise, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or receive a copy of certain personal data.

You can exercise available controls by:

  • Using LINK’s in-app privacy choices when displayed
  • Changing your Android advertising-ID and privacy settings
  • Resetting local game progress in LINK’s Settings
  • Changing your display name in Settings → Your name, or removing yourself entirely from Settings → Leaderboard → Remove me (version 1.1.0 and later)
  • Uninstalling LINK to remove its local app data
  • Contacting us using the email address below

Because LINK has no sign-in and does not collect your real name or email address, we may not be able to associate an anonymous advertising or analytics record with you without an applicable technical identifier. Leaderboard entries are the exception: they can be found from the display name shown on the board, which is why the deletion page asks for it. We will respond to verifiable requests as required by applicable law.

Security

Network data handled by Google’s Mobile Ads and Firebase services is encrypted in transit, including leaderboard entries. Access to leaderboard data is restricted by server-side security rules: an entry can only be written or deleted by the installation that created it. We limit custom analytics to predefined event names and parameters and do not include puzzle content or free-form user input. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when LINK’s features, service providers or legal obligations change. The revised policy will be published at this URL and the “Last updated” date will be changed before or when the relevant app update is released.
